Hi I'm Joel Johnson

I'm a Gamer, I love Writing, I love my community, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I moved around a lot in my youth. I've been in Nebraska, Texas, Montana, Idaho, and Utah. I'm Currently serving a missionary in the Cincinnati, Ohio Mission. I LOVE to play video games. A lot of people have misconceptions of who "true" gamers are and one of my goals in life is to clear all that up. I love to talk about politics and love sharing my views about certain topics.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. A common misconception is that everyone who is raised in the church doesn't ever grow a testimony of it's truthfulness and that we just go with it because it's all we ever knew. My Father died when I was 13. He had a heart attack while swimming in a pool. For years after, I questioned my faith, Without a father figure in my life I turned to addictions and friends to fill the void in my life. The sad part was I had the truth, the answer, right in front of me and it would've only taken pray and study to find peace. Finally, after I was sick of falling over and over again, I humbled myself enough to seek help through God and my church leaders. I'm now on a mission and I've never been happier.

How I live my faith

I choose not to particpate in activities that go against what I believe. I don't drink, smoke, or do anything that would afflict my body.
