Hi I'm Hayden

I grew up in Texas. I'm an avid outdoorsy person. I am currently serving a mission in Brazil. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live for the outdoors! I hike, climb, canyoneer, backpack, camp, you name it and I probably do it. I'm going to college right now where I'm currently double majoring in Public Relations and Peace and Justice Studies. I also do PR work for Habitat for Humanity, and I'm loving every minute of it!

Why I am a Mormon

Everyone has their own path to take in life. We all have huge decisions to make that change your life for better or worse. I don't know how I could have gotten to where I am without my Lord by my side. I don't know who I would be without the present teachings of our Prophet and his apostles. Being a Mormon for me is so much more than an adjective to describe myself, it is a complete way of life, a way of thinking and a way of being. You aren't "A" Mormon. You "be" a Mormon. Every day I am faced with adversity, and it is through my faith that I overcome it. The Book of Mormon goes hand in hand with the Bible. It backs the Bible up in so many ways. But the Book of Mormon also gives me more direction, power and self worth than anything I've ever encountered. Having a true prophet on the earth today helps with that direction, power and self worth. I know that our Heavenly Father would not leave us to fend for ourselves without that constant direction in the world today, where sin is running rampant. He loves us more than anything and he wants us to have that direction. That is what my church teaches. And that is what I know to be true.

How I live my faith

Every single day we are faced with challenges that form us into who we are. My goal is to turn all of those challenges into a faith builder for my testimony of this gospel and the Savior's love for me. Faith is not a thought or just a belief, faith is an action. We show our love for our Heavenly Father through our faith (actions). Every action we make contributes to building us up or tearing us down.... I simply live my faith by constantly trying to build myself up.
