Hi I'm Jade

I'm a people person, a runner, and a Harry Potter lover. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being active and playing sports with my friends, especially soccer and basketball. I love spending time with my family- I feel like I have the best family in the world. I've recently been called to serve as a missionary in the great state of Texas. I'm so excited to serve the Lord and His children in Texas.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel brings so much peace, joy, and happiness into my life! Because of it, I know where I came from, who I am, and where I am going. I am a Mormon because I've read the Book of Mormon and I know it to be the word of God. There is such a feeling of peace and comfort that I've felt as I've come to read, ponder, and pray about that book. There's no feeling like it. I know that God is real, that He loves us, and He hears and answers our prayers. I am so grateful to Him and all that He has done for me. I know that through the restored keys of the Holy Priesthood, my family can be together forever. That knowledge has brought me so much comfort and hope, especially after I lost my father to Melanoma cancer a few years ago. All pain and despair that we go through in this life can be swallowed up in the hope of Jesus Christ. He knows exactly how we feel, and He is eager to comfort us and uplift us. God is there. He leads this church through His chosen prophets. I love it, I love this gospel, and I can't wait to share it with my brothers and sisters in Texas.

How I live my faith

I try and live my faith by the way I live my life. When Jesus Christ was on the earth, He taught of love, faith, hope, and forgiveness, and He taught by example. I do my best to pattern my life after His example. Last summer, I had the opportunity to serve as a youth counselor to the youth of the church. I learned so much about the great strength the youth have, and how much the Lord loves them and trusts them.
