Hi I'm Hadley

Im a convert! I am a Mormon and I love it!

About Me

I am 19 years old and I am a Missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am serving in the Texas Houston East mission and I love it! I am a convert to the church of 4 years. I could never imagine doing something better with my life. When I was 13 I fell in the love with the church and all of the things that it teaches! Things just seemed to make sense and everything in life that I was struggling with seemed a little bit easier to deal with. I fell in love with the fact that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and who cares about me, I have a brother who has felt every single thing that I have felt. The gospel gave me a purpose in life, a purpose that I wouldnt have realized without finding the gospel and hearing what it is all about. It helped me love life, instead of seeing a dark place I see a place that has so much love and good in it, the church has helped me to see all of the good. I have 1 sister and 2 brothers who I love so very much! I have some amazing parents and a really awesome step mom. My parents have helped me to be self reliant and to shoot for the things that I want in life no matter how hard it can be. I love to learn and to teach. When I am at home I love to read, swim, watch football, and hang out with my friends. I love to do really silly things like run around bare foot in the snow with my best friend and have dance offs even though none of us know how to dance. Life is fun and I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the Church and at first it was really a little scary because I was the only one in my family that wanted to join. But I had a friend teach me all about the Church and was able to have missionaries come over to her house and learn more as well. I had a lot of friends that were there to love and support me and to teach me the things that I needed to know their love and support was so important to me as I was learning about the Church because my family was openly against it. But I fell in love with it! I love every single thing about the Church! My family has become more accepting to me being apart of the Church and they are supporting me while I am on my mission. Joining the Church was the best decision I have ever made in my life. It has changed my life for the good in more ways than I could ever say. It brings me peace, joy, and hope. I now have a knowledge that my Heavenly Father loves me. I know that He knows me personally and that I can always turn to Him at any time. I know that I can become the person that I was suppose to become I know where I am going and I know what I want my life to be like. I am able to set goals to help me achieve becoming that person. I owe this all to the Church! I dont know who I would be or where I would be without it but I know that the person that I have become is a confident happy person and that I am able to face challenges with strength.

How I live my faith

I am on a mission! I love it I get to go around and talk to so many people everyday and tell them about what I love! I get to help them develop a relationship with Christ. A mission is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but it is hands down the most rewarding thing ever! My faith has deepened and my love for the gospel has grown. I also live my faith by just doing the things that Christ has asked me to do. I try my hardest every day to go out and to live as he would. Sometimes its hard, but thats what faith is all about. Sometimes its doing the right thing even though it may be way hard. And because of choosing those right things I have seen so many miracles happen and I have been SO happy!

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Hadley
We serve a mission because we love this church! We love the Lord! All that we have learned makes us so happy. Being as happy as we are its impossible not to want to go and share it with everyone around us! Eighteen months is easy to give up when we get to share the gift of forever with others! Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Hadley
We help everyone! And love to do it! Here in Texas we go around asking people if they have ways that we can help them. We love to help everyone and anyone out as much as possible! It brings us so much joy to know that we can help someone in some way! Show more Show less
