Hi I'm Jason

I grew up in Wales. I married an English girl 25 years ago. I work out of London and i'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of two, my children have achieved so much and I'm so very proud of them. I married my sweetheart 25 years ago and it was the best thing I have ever done, we talk and laugh all of the time which makes life so much fun. I have an allotment which I share the work load with my wife. We both like cycling and holidaying in Europe. We have recently finished doing our house up its only taken 10 years and we are now looking at redecorating it. I work in logistics and have done so all my working life. As a career it has taken me to far flung places such as Singapore, China, Malaysia and Japan. I enjoy my time with my family so much so I now do aqua aerobics and Zumba at our local leisure centre with them. I achieved my black belt in martial arts 6 years ago.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon, it's because I want to be more like my saviour Jesus Christ I have seen over the years the change in myself as I have followed his example. The truths that are laid out in the Bible and Book of Mormon enables me to see the potential I can become, and I want that for me and my family, that peace that comes through doing the right things. I have been a Mormon for over 40 years and have participated in all of the program's from when I was in the children's classes through my youth years and into adulthood, I was taught by my parents about the church but there comes a time which I had to know for myself that the path I was on was right for me, I remember those occasions when I was alone and seeking to know answers to life's questions, the feelings a pure joy and happiness when my answers came, I knew then that I had a caring Heavenly Father who I knew now listened to answered my prayers. As I realised my weakness I had a greater understanding of my Redeemer Jesus Christ and what he had done in the Garden of Gethsemane and upon the Cross of Calvary for me. I now he rose from the tomb on the third day and conquered death. He opened the gate to enable through these acts our ability to return to our Father in Heaven. I also know through the poor of pray that Joseph Smith did see Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father in the sacred grove and thus restoring the belief that they are as tangible as you and me that they care for us all and wish to be with them forever. I know that the message he missionaries share will bring us all back to the presence of The Father. I pray that this would be something you may desire for yourselves.

How I live my faith

Between work and family I actively participate in my local church, I have been the Bishop / Leader in my local church for over a year, working with the members helping them grow in the gospel, looking after their needs, I also have a big involvement with the youth program, helping our youth to fulfil their potential both in and out of he church. I regularly visit with the elderly and those that are sick to minister and care for them. My other responsibilities are to help run the program's in the church with the help of other leaders who to work on a voluntary basis. When I was 18 years old, I served as a missionary in the South London area for a period of 2 years sharing my belief in the church with as many people as would listen. I met some great people who became more than just friends. I met my wife after my mission, and we were married in the London Temple 25 years ago and although we have had many trials and hardships we have both worked hard together to over come them which I feel has really brought us together and made our relationship so much stronger.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?
