Hi I'm John.

I'm the oldest of 7 children. I love family, friends, learning, and sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently am going to college. I enjoy learning things, no matter the subject. I play a lot of sports- basketball, volleyball, and football. I played volleyball in high school, and the rest were just pickup games. During summers I mow lawns to pay for college and for my mission. I mow lawns for usually 10 hours a day. It's hard work, but I love it. I enjoy working in the yard, landscaping to make something out of nothing. I've sung in choirs for the past 7 years. I sing baritone, and I've gotten to sing in some amazing places, including Abravanel Hall. I love spending time with people, and watching old movies. I'm serving a mission for the Lord in the New York Utica mission, and love it. There is nothing else I'd rather be doing right now than helping others by sharing the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ because I've felt the truth of it. I always have a good feeling when I pray about whether or not the Church is true. But there is more than that- I've seen the good that the Church has wrought in my life. I've become a better person because of this Church. I know that Christ is our Savior. He has helped me too many times for me to deny His power. I know He is there and answers prayers, even the simple ones. He has worked miracles in his life, and his Atonement has helped me become greater than I ever could become on my own. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testimony of Christ. The Spirit in the Church is undeniable. I love this Gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in my everyday actions. I try to help others, and to always be a positive influence on those around me. I always try to live my life in a way that would please Christ. I act with integrity, and don't try to take advantage of those around me. I try to remain humble, and recognize that all my blessings come from Heavenly Father. I strive to share my beliefs through how I live my life. At church, I'm blessed to get to help lead fellow people my age, as well as organize activities, and try to give my brethren opportunities and thoughts that can help them grow. The cool thing is, when I help others, they help me right back. My friends in my ward help me grow much more than I could help them.
