Hi I'm Rainey

I currently reside in Georgia and am awaiting my son's baptism. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have two children and three step children. We are currently waiting on my son's baptism as he just turned 8. I have recently gone back to school and work for the Department of Homeland Security for going on five years.

Why I am a Mormon

I always knew that something was missing in the various churches I would attempt to attend however I couldn't put my finger on what was missing. I had an on-line friend that was Mormon and we would discuss the different beliefs of "his" faith and what I knew in my heart to be true and that I felt something was missing from the affiliations I had attended. We discussed how I could speak with the missionaries and they would answer any questions I had. However, it was up to me to pray and ask Heavenly Father for myself and own revelation on if what I was learning was true. Never have I felt so alive and connected to our Savior Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. The peace that I obtain through prayer and scripture reading help me in my daily trials and builds my faith greater and greater everyday. I know there are somethings that we will not know in this life and I am better able to understand this now. The friend that introduced me to the church came to the state I lived in and personally baptized my daughter and myself. It a was wonderful experience and I finally found where I truly belong and know that the words of the scriptures are true. I know that my family can be together forever and that by growing closer to God my family also grows closer to each other everyday. My friend that baptized me eventually became my husband and we try to better ourselves daily and setting good examples for our children so they may learn and grow stronger in their faith. I know the Book of Mormon is true, I know that Jesus is the Christ and I say these things in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

I enjoy my calling as a visiting teacher as well as various activities within the church. Our family participates in group prayer a well as individual prayer often. Becoming closer to our Heavenly Father not only allows us to grow closer to him, but allows us to grow closer to our family and learn how to better communicate and spread the scriptures with others.
