Hi I'm Miry Johnson

I am from Las Vegas and I love photography. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student at Brigham Young University and I am majoring in Elementary Education. I love photography and learning about the world around me. I enjoy watching documentaries and reading books about WWII and other historical events. I am the oldest of 4 girls and my family is currently residing in Las Vegas.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is true. I have always had a strong belief in God and Christ. I have felt of their love throughout my life and I have seen them answer my prayers. With that belief I knew that if God and Christ loved me then they would want me to know which religion was true. It was when I had a strong belief in Them that I prayed to know if this church was true, the church that I grew up in my whole life. As I knelt in prayer I felt a peace come over me and I knew. I knew that God's answer was that this was His church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church each Sunday and by attending the temple each week. I also enjoy volunteering at the Missionary Training Center in Provo. I am a fluent Spanish speaker so I volunteer with missionaries who have been called to Spanish-speaking missions about 4 hours a week. Genealogy work is also another way that I live my faith and I spend several hours a week devoted to finding names and information about my ancestors. Apart from all these things I live my faith through daily prayer, service, and daily study of the Bible and Book of Mormon.
