Hi I'm Lily

I'm 19, I live in the UK, I have a wonderful family, I work in a Primary School, I'm incredibly happy and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in a little English village all my life, I have a wonderful Mother and Father and I'm the youngest of their five girls. I went to college when I left school to study Politics, History and English Literature. I currently work in a Primary school as a support assistant and I love every second of it. I love spending time with children just because they never fail to make me smile! I have a boyfriend who is currently serving a mission in Greece and I learn a lot from him. I love to read and to write when I get chance. I'm attempting to learn how to play the piano and I love creating things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon, over the years I have grown to love this Gospel more than anything. I know that it is true, Joseph Smith restored the true church on earth with the proper authority from God. We have a living Prophet who leads and guides us through revelation. We have a saviour who died so that we could live, and we have a Father in Heaven. When I was a young girl of 12 I decided to pray, in this prayer I decided for the first time to express my love for my Heavenly Father. I uttered the simple phrase 'Heavenly Father I love you' and in return I felt an overwhelming feeling of love like I have never felt before or since. I'm not perfect and I make mistakes like everyone, but I only have to go back to that experience and remember that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me no matter what. I know that we have a Father in Heaven who loves us and wants us to be happy and that's what being a Mormon is all about: "Men are that they might have Joy."

How I live my faith

If anyone was to ask me how I live my faith my answer would be "by example". People have always noticed something different about me because of the way I lived and it has lead to many great conversations. They haven't all come and joined the Church from this but I would like to hope that now when those people think of the Church and Mormons they have a positive view rather than a negative one. At church I teach a Primary class of 5 girls. It's something I look forward to each week and I love every member of my class, sometimes I think they teach me more than I teach them! I like getting involved in community work too, I currently help in a charity that delivers meals to elderly people and I really enjoy it.
