Hi I'm Emily

I am a spirited, 19 year old young lady. I am a Certified Nurses Assistant. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hello one and all! My name is Emily, I am 19 years old. I am a CNA (Certified Nurses Assistant) and it is a delight. I feel like I have been blessed by my Heavenly Father with a special love for elderly people. However I have a fondness for ALL people, young and old. I am very social. I enjoy crafting, and playing sports. And most of all, I LOVE being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The gospel is my life, and a big part of who I am. I love life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as an extremely active member of the church. As were my parents. They raised me in a loving, Spirit filled home. They taught me to pray, read the scriptures, go to church and all the other things that have brought me so much happiness. When I was 8 years old, I was baptized. Before I was baptized I remember praying to know if the gospel was true. Before this point I had just relied on my parents testimonies. But at this point I decided it was time to step up. As I prayed I felt such happiness and warmth and I knew that the church was so true. Throughout my life I have had ups and downs. Times of struggle and times where I questioned. I have slowly, but surely grown my own testimony throughout my life thus far. And I know without a doubt that this is the true church that Christ put on the earth and was restored by the prophet Joseph Smith for these Latter-days. I am grateful for Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father and I love them with all of my heart. How great this gospel is, and what happiness and peace it brings to me! I can testify that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ and I'm so glad to be a part of it.

How I live my faith

In our church, one of the great things about being a member is that you have many opportunities to serve in different situations, even while we're young. Between the ages of 12 and 18 I was in an organization called "Young Women". I had many opportunities to serve and lead in this organization. I learned responsibility and leadership from a young age. I am currently attending a Young Single Adult Ward. This ward is made up of single adults, ages 18 to 30. It is great, because we have many opportunities to be actively involved, and make a contribution. I am having so much fun helping in the Sunday Activities Committee for my responsibility. We plan activities before and after church on Sunday's so we can "linger longer" and get to know each other better. I am so grateful for every calling I have ever had. They have all blessed me immensely. I have met many wonderful, uplifting people who have helped me to be a better person everyday.
