Hi I'm Shanae

I love to serve others. I want to travel the world one day. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently at living at home, saving my money to go on a mission. I went to one semester of college, and decided that I needed to serve the Lord. I love service. I went to India on a humanitarian project my senior year in high school, and I absolutely loved it. India taught me to love everyone and to be thankful for what I have. I have a big family and I love kids. I have been babysitting since I was 8 years old. I'm excited to start a family of my own one day. One of my hobbies is acting. I love being on stage. Performing a play always gives me a rush, and I enjoy pushing myself to become better and better every show.

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly, why I am a Mormon is because I was born into this religion (which I consider a HUGE blessing). But why I choose to STAY a Mormon, is because I know it is true. My parents have never had to force me to go to church. Ever since I was little I have enjoyed learning about Jesus Christ and I have slowly stepped away from leaning on my parents testimony, and have gain my own. I have had countless experiences where I have felt the spirit so strong and it has born testimony to me that this church is true. I love the Lord, and I will do whatever He asks of me.

How I live my faith

I have been in a leadership position for girls my age on and off since I was 12. I've had to learn how to plan and organize events. Along with making sure everyone feels included. Right now, I do not have a specific calling in my ward, but I enjoy helping those who do. I am not as involved in the whole community as I would like to be, but I feel like the amount that I am involved in, I make a difference.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Absolutely. With the right authority, families can be sealed together forever. I am so thankful my parents were sealed with that authority. I had my older brother pass away when I was 16. It was the hardest thing I ever had to go through. He was my hero. I looked up to him so much. But knowing that I will see him again eased the pain. Also, knowing that my family was SEALED forever helped me get through the bad days. Though this experience was hard, I would never take it back. I am thankful for the testimony that I gained. I can feel my brother with me everyday, looking out for me. Show more Show less
