Hi I'm Graham

I like movies and adventure. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a great family, (6 of us total), where I was taught to make good choices and try and have a good sense of humor. Although the my record of "good choice" making hasn't exactly been perfect over the years, I've managed to pull off the sense of humor thing pretty well. I find a lot of joy not only from spending time with my family and serving in the church, but I love watching movies too. Movies were a huge part of my growing up and they're something I love to this day. To me, there are few things better than sitting in a movie theater watching a movie you've waited months to see. It's just awesome. I haven't done too many amazing things in my life, but one thing I do enjoy doing is serving people. I love to see people change. I love to see their circumstances change, their attitude, their faith, all for the better of course. I believe one of the main reasons we're on this planet is to help each other to be happy.

Why I am a Mormon

Because God is real. I've felt His love in my life, and there ain't no one on this planet that could convince me otherwise. That's my foundation. I always believed in God, and had my doubts from time to time, but there came a particular time in my life when I needed to know He was there, that I needed His comfort, and He gave it to me. God lives and he loves everyone of us, and because he loves us He sent His son Jesus Christ to prepare the way for us to live with God again. That's something I believed my whole life too, and that I'm still learning about, but I have experienced what it's like to know that Jesus Christ died for me, me personally, and that because he took upon Him my pains and sorrows, I don't have to carry them around anymore. But a lot of people have had similar experiences, and plenty of those people aren't Mormon. Well I'm a Mormon, because the Book of Mormon is true. It really is "Another Testament of Jesus Christ". I had to study, and pray, and ponder about it. I had to work understand who God was, who His son Jesus Christ was, and I had to work to find out if the Book of Mormon was true. It didn't take blood and sweat, it did take some tears, but all you need is a sincere desire to know and a heart open to the will of God, and he will not hold back the truth from any of us. I actually experienced that, and The Book of Mormon, The Gospel of Jesus Christ, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, have brought more happiness into my life and the life of my family more than any one thing on this entire planet.

How I live my faith

Well right now I'm serving a full-time mission in New Jersey. But that's just a two year stint. I try to live a life patterned after the life of Jesus Christ. It definitely isn't easy, but so far it has been worth it. I find that by living the Savoir's example, even in the little things like praying every day, we truly invite more happiness into our lives and into the lives of others. I try to find opportunities to serve others, and I try to take advantage of the Atoning Sacrifice of Jesus Christ by living his gospel to the fullest. I don't do a perfect job of it, but that's what we're here to do. To learn from our mistakes, make changes for the better, and move on to live a better and happier life. That's kind of my goal in life.
