Hi I'm Lynn

I am a convert and joined the church as an adult. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in the Lutheran church as well as Lutheran schooling from K-12. I found myself as a single mom of two, struggling to make ends meet and began to pray for a change in our lives. My prayers were answered...long story. But here I am. I am an RN, mom of three boys, wife of a wonderful, hard working man, living in Michigan. We have a house full of pets and a couple of boarded horses. I enjoy time with friends and family, riding bikes, horses or just hanging on the beach.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I knew nothing of the LDS faith. And, I knew very little as a young adult as well. I found myself looking for a better way or life, for myself and my boys. Shortly after praying and conversing with Heavenly Father, I met my future husband while at work in the hospital. He and his family had been members of the church all there lives. I felt so peaceful and warm when in their presence. Especially my father-in-law. He has held many significant roles in the church. His mere speaking through family prayer brought me to tears. I began attending church worship services as an investigator for quite a long time before I decided to be baptized. It has been a wonderful blessing to my life as well as my family. My sons have since grown into fine men. One is serving a mission and one hopes to have plans to serve very soon. I never would have dreamed that my boys could have so many opportunities and blessings. I am thankful ever day and every moment and try my very best, though I continue to need to ask for forgiveness for my faults. I mean well and try to let my light shine to all those I come in contact with, wether it be at work, home, church or just walking down the street. And I know this is a common thread that many of of share. what a blessing!!!

How I live my faith

I am involved in the women's organization in our church and along with other leaders help to find ways to serve our female members better. As women our needs are endless and sometimes we just can't go it alone. We join together providing humanitarian service to community organizations. As we strive to help one another live and grow more productively as well as spiritually, families can be strengthened.
