Hi I'm Simon

I'm an IT professional, a Father, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First and foremost, I'm a father and husband. I have three energetic, lively and happy children who are two, three and five years old. I'm also married to the love of my life. As a family, we put making memories together as our priority. I work for the world's largest IT and consultancy organization as a senior project manager working with clients to use their current technology in a smarter way as well as introducing new technologies. I love the challenges that my job presents as well as the fast-paced and organic environment. Although my job is very consuming, I endeavour to make every moment of time with my family quality time where they can feel my love for them. I have two hobbies in life- travelling and photography. Luckily, I'm able to combine the two whilst being with my family and capturing our adventures and memories together.

Why I am a Mormon

For me, the greatest evidence that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its teachings are true is myself. As I look back over my life, I see the Lord's hand steering me, from a misfit in a Council estate in a small mining village in Kent to a professional with a beautiful wife and children; this has come by his hand not mine. There have been many 'bumps,' 'upsets' and dark moments on the way, but I know that he has been beside me and guided me. That's the wonderful thing-- we are not alone! We can each know this for ourselves by prayer, and ultimately that is how I know. I asked and he answered me.

How I live my faith

To me each day is a pursuit of excellence, an opportunity to know a little more, be a little better and come closer to my Saviour. By bringing Christ into every part of my life, I've been able to be a better father and differentiate myself as a professional. I often hear the phrase, "Don't confuse your professional ethics with your personal beliefs," but in my experience, nothing brings a team of individuals together more than applying the teachings of Christ. By keeping this pursuit as my daily focus, it keeps me from getting lost in the day to day whirlwind of life, keeping my priorities firmly in focus and preventing me from losing that which is dearest.
