Hi I'm Jona Berati

I'm from Albania. I'm a sister, a daughter and a lover of music. I'm a missionary in England and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm was born and raised in Tirana, the capital of Albania,I have two wonderful sisters.and parents.I love to talk with my mom she is saint for me .. I finished high school and hope to become a teacher. I love to sing and to listen to music. I like to challenge myself.. I like to spend time with my friends in the Church, and to work with the young women in the Church. I joined the church when I was 13 years old, and I served as missionary in the England London Temple's Visitors' Centre. and now I live in Holland :)

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church with my family, when I was 13 years old. My mum met the missionaries, who taught us about the restoration of the gospel. They invited us to pray if the gospel and the Book of Mormon was true, and told us, that if we asked our heavenly Father in faith, He would answer us. I received a confirmation through the Spirit that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true, and so did the rest of my family. We were baptised as a family in 2005. I am very grateful that I know of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It makes my life meaningful, happy and so much better. It has given me an understanding that families can be together forever. I am very grateful now to have this opportunity to serve in the England London Temple's Visitors' Centre. It is truly a blessing for me to be by the house of God everyday; it feels like home. Why am I a mormon? I am a Mormon because I know without a doubt that all the happiness and success that I've experienced so far in my life, is because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It teaches me about my relationship to my heavenly Father and who I am as a daughter of God. It teaches me about His plan for me; that He wants me to be happy and most importantly what it takes for me to be happy. That is through knowing of and living the commandments of God.. I've seen blessings come into my life as I've done my best to live what I know to be true. I have seen this gospel change lives - it is for everyone! it will bless your life, if you let it! It has blessed mine, and I know that it is true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day. I think the best way to live a faith is to take care of the faith we have, to make it grow. Faith is like a beautiful flower. To make it grow and blossom, you need to take care of it every day. You do that by watering it and looking after it. It is the same with our faith. Like the flower, we need to take care of it every day. I do that by praying, reading in the scriptures and sharing my believes with others, every day. In this way, my faith grows and is kept strong - just like a flower would disappear, if it wasn't taken care of.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?
