Hi I'm William

Born and raised in the Southern United States. On a mission in England. Latter Day Saint.

About Me

I am serving a mission in the England Leeds Mission. That is the Northeast of england. As of yet this is the prettiest country that I have ever seen. I did go to University for a bit at Southern Virginia University. There I was in the pep band. I was also in the marching band in high school and the swim team and also the tennis team. So you could say that I'm active. I love to sing, dance, swim, and eat. I am also the youngest in my family. And I have visited 49 of the 50 states in america and 3 countries besides that.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this faith, but from my parents example I read The Book of Mormon and I prayed for it's truth. I didn't really know until I was going to uni and it came as I was reading. How could this book not be true? That is what I found. I had found out the thing that is necessary to believeing everything that I had been taught. I do know that The Book of Mormon is the most true book on the face of the earth. I know that Jesus Christ really did visit those people in the americas. It is impressed upon me everyday as I speak with people about it. Probably the most important thing that I have learned on my mission is that our Heavenly Father is always willing to reach out to us as long as we keep our hearts and minds towards him.

How I live my faith

Presently I am a missionary in sunderland. I teach those that don't know about what we share. Previously when I was uni a friend of mine and myself went to some other people on campus and we shared with them what the modern prophets had to share with them. That is called home teaching and it was always lots of fun. Really this is a 7 day a week church. A follower of Christ can't just go to church and call it even. Everyday you need to work at it, improving everyday and helping others out as well.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

William
Full-time Missionary Service is not mandatory, however, those that do serve receive many blessing. As a general rule young men may serve at the age of 18 and young women at the age of 19. They pay their own way and as they serve they are acting as representatives of Jesus Christ Show more Show less
