Hi I'm Jens

I am an outdoor enthusist. I am a Brother, a friend. I love giving service and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a large family in Utah of 8 Children. I love music and have been involved with several musical groups over the years. This comes from my family also being passionate about music. I am a piano player, a singer, and a Tuba player. I am also an outdoor enthuaist. Anything to do that includes being in the outdoors I am up for it. I love Hiking, Biking, Camping and Fishing, just to name a few. I enjoy giving service to others. My family reffers to me as " the right hand man" becuase I am always willing to help out. I have done one year of University Schooling, with a possible interest in going into Chemical Engineering. My Unviersity studies have been put on pause so that I could serve a two year mission for my chruch in the Scotland/Ireland Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the person it has helped me become. It has provided me with the peace and the direction that I need for my life and has essentially created a road map for my life. I joined when I was eight years old and have grown up being a Mormon. I have seen how the teachings and Doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has helped me and my family. I have been on both sides of it, being taught and being the teacher. I am grateful for the knowledge that I have gained from being a Mormon about the Family, and how the Family can be together forever. This knowledge brought me comfort several years ago when my Grandfather passed away. I had never had anyone pass away in the Family before this time and I was very sad at his passing. But the knowledge that I would be able to see him again because of Jesus Christ helped comfort my heart.

How I live my faith

The way that I live my faith is shown in many different ways. The most noticible one for me right now, is I am a Mormon Missionary. Every day for the next two years, I have dedicated my life to teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While out on my mission, I teach people the principles and doctrines that Jesus Christ taught while he was here on the earth, and help them come to an understanding that there is more to life and how the family can be together forever. A mission has been the best time of my life as I have been able to serve in many different ways the people of Scotland/Ireland. I love giving service to everyone I come in contact with. I am the happiest when I see how my actions have helped someone for the better and the gratitude that shows in their face afterwards. That is one of the reasons why I have volunteered to leave everything behind for the next two years and be able to go forth and serve. Before I came out on my Mission, I taught two age groups of children: (five to six year olds, and ten to eleven year olds) stories from the scriptures, and how we can liken ourselves to the people in the stories.
