Hi I'm Kelly

I've sold frozen vegetables for 30 years, raised a family of 4 children and have been married 37 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated college with a BA in Japanese, then finished an MBA. My business career has allowed me to travel extensively, serve in the church and my community, and provide for my family. I've been happily married for 37 years. We have raised a family of four children, enjoy our 8 grandchildren and are preparing to serve a mission for 3 years in Colorado.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have come to know that it is Christ's true church upon the earth, with His restored priesthood authority. I know that He leads the Church through living apostles and prophets today. I sustain the President of the Church as the Prophet who receives revelation relevant to our times and circumstances. I have come to know that the Bible and the Book of Mormon testify of Christ, His divinity, atonement and resurrection. They teach us His way to be happy here and hopeful in the eternities. As I follow His way I find happiness.

How I live my faith

My faith has been strengthened through service to others and watching people grow as they develop faith of their own. One of the great benefits of membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the chance to serve. Without a paid local ministry, we all have opportunity to contribute to a community of faith intended to lift, support and strengthen each other. Throughout my adult life I have had opportunity to teach all ages, from 2 to 100+ years old, minister to congregations of 12 to 3500 individuals, preach of God's love to my brothers and sisters in a foreign land and in a foreign language, counsel one on one with individuals in despair - then rejoice with them as they grasp and apply the concepts of faith, repentance, baptism, the Gift of the Holy Ghost and working to live a Christ-like life, cry with those who bury family members too early, celebrate with those welcoming new family members, help lift the burden of sin by directing individuals to the Atonement of Jesus Christ and making more friends than I ever thought possible. I particularly enjoy the power of scriptures in my life. As I prayerfully study and consider the message of the scriptures I find strength, direction and peace. I hear God's voice to me as I ponder his messages preserved for our benefit and learning.
