Hi I'm Jessica Neilson

I love to play volleyball. I want to be a writer. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Two of my favorite things to do are play volleyball and read. I also enjoy drawing and playing basketball. I went to Utah State University for two years, then transferred to Brigham Young University. However, I'm taking a little time off of school to serve a mission in Charlotte, North Carolina; I leave in May.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is the head of this church and I know that Christ is the Son of God. I am Mormon because, through modern-day revelation that complements and supplements the Bible, I know that God has created a plan that is perfectly just and perfectly merciful and that allows us to have perfect joy if we follow His commandments. It is the only plan that makes sense for a perfect, loving, constant Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy going to church and spending time with members of my ward. While at school, my ward was the center of my social life. It is so nice to be around people my own age, in the same phase of life, with many common stresses and concerns. I've helped organize events for my congregation and also helped teach and look out for the women of my ward. This has allowed me to feel involved and build relationships with my fellow ward members.
