Hi I'm Josh

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I like automotive and mechanical things as well as History. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am Josh and I am about to serve a two year Mission in Sacramento California. I am interested in learning as much as I can about automotive and mechanical things, engineering, and about early history of the United States. I am also interested in continuing to learn as much as I can about the LDS church and what we believe.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Mormon with parents, grandparents, and other relatives who are Mormon. As a kid, I was very excited to be at church with my parents and all my friends there. As I grew into a teenager, I was very tired of having to get up and go to church on Sunday, and started to make excuses why I didn't need to go that day. I was still going to seminary, but didn't want to pay attention. (It just got me out of school for an hour) Luckily, I have very good parents and had a couple good teachers in a row that would include me in the discussions and lessons we had. Because of that I started to wonder what made these people so happy and willing to go to church all the time without being forced to. When I read the Book of Mormon and listened to General Conference with the desire to know all these things, and after having prayed to know, I felt very at ease and peaceful that I had not felt before. I knew that this was the only true church upon the earth today and that what the speakers in General Conference were not only true but came directly from revelation they had received. I have come to know over and over again that all these things are true, that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by continually trying to be the best I can be and by making sure that my neighbors are taken care of to the best of my ability. I try to always be there for anyone who is in need, or that I think may need a little extra help. One of my responsibilities is to make sure of these things, to record the attendance and people we have visited, and to make notes of the needs of the members in my area. No matter what I do though, I always keep in mind the example of Jesus Christ and how his purpose in this life was to minister to and help those in need. Christ love each of us with a perfect love and I am trying to become like him and to love my fellow man in the perfect, unconditional way that Christ and our Heavenly Father does.
