Hi I'm Aliena Bogaert

I'm an Australian who loves being outdoors, doing art, craft and using my hands and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 22 years old, I am one of six children and I love my family. and have been working in recreation with people who have special needs for the past 4 years. I loved working with such genuinely increasable people and I have learnt so much from this. I love being outside in Australian sunshine and appreciating all of my blessings. I am soon to go on a mission to Canada for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm very excited to be able to bring others to the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life as my family made it apart of theirs before I was born. I'm so grateful to the missionaries who brought my parents into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints many years ago in Canada. I have received so much joy and happiness in my life through following the teachings of this gospel. I hope as I go to Canada to serve as a missionary I can bring other families to feel this same joy. I know that this church is true, and that The Book of Mormon is true. Jesus Christ sacrificed himself so that all of our sins can be forgiven and we may return to live with him. This is the greatest gift we could be given.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday because I love learning, and being uplifted and edified. I have been apart of a number of different wards and have been able to contribute through teaching children from 4-7. Helping the children understand that they have a Heavenly Father who loves them is so rewarding. I am part of a program in the church where all of the sisters visit and look out for each other. I'm so grateful for this as it opens opportunities to make friends and ensures that we are watched over in a caring way.
