Hi I'm Larene

I am half Irish and I express my culture through Irish dancing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Larene. I love to spend my time reading, playing games, hanging with friends, watching television, Irish dancing, and working. I pretty much love anything to do with fantasy. I love to watch cartoons and other things with my friends. I believe in enjoying the small things in life and so when my friends need to escape the world and just have some fun I am the one they have on speed dial. I enjoy increasing my talents and getting to know new people. At one point I had three jobs at one time and so as anyone could tell I love to work. I tend to enjoy a challenge. I don’t always enjoy it while I am going through the challenge, but I love the before and after of it. I love to be given responsibilities, especially when the responsibility results in helping others. I love to provide service in any way that I can. I love to progress in everything that I do whether it is in the gospel, in education, and any other aspect of life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be. I was born into the church, so I have always had the gospel in my life. I don’t know what it is like to not have religion. My parents always went to church and when I turned sixteen they let me choose if I wanted to continue to go to church. I often describe the church as being based upon love, family, and service. The gospel is so family oriented and full of love and service. I know that my Savior loves me and has served me in ways that I don’t even know about. One thing that I know He did do to serve me was giving me the atonement. I have a strong testimony in the atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that he suffered for my sins so that I can be forgiven and return to live with my Father in Heaven again. Not only does the atonement help me with my sins, but it helps me with my trials. I know that I can always turn to the Lord when I am struggling because he is the only one who truly knows what I am going through and many times he is the only one that can help me get through it. I know very well that I can conquer any trial before me when I walk hand in hand with the Savior. I have a testimony of the Restoration and I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon and I know that what it says is true. When I need answers I can always read in it and find the answers I am looking for. I love the gospel and I always strive to live righteously. I don’t know what I would do without the gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

I believe in living the gospel 24/7. I try my best to go to the church activities available in my ward. I am currently the assistant secretary for the Relief Society Secretary or one could call me the technology specialist for the Relief Society Secretary. I do whatever I am asked to do and I am eager to assist the Relief Society Presidency in any way that I can. I love to meet new people and so I try to talk to the new members of the ward and get to know the ladies in the Relief Society. I do my best to complete my visiting teaching assignment each month and will participate in fellow shipping new members of the church. I have worked with the missionaries on numerous occasions. My main motto in the gospel is being exactly obedient. I believe that obedience is key in all aspects of the gospel and in life. I always strive to be obedient speedily, straightaway, and with exactness. Which is not always easy, but I know that it is the right thing to do and I know that I will be blessed if I do what the Lord asks of me.
