Hi I'm Randalin

I am a wife, mother, and grandmother, friend, piano teacher and accompanist. I love hymns. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy researching my ancestors and extended family members, and learning about their lives. I love music, and enjoy playing the piano and listening to symphonies and choral music. I sometimes sew, making quilts, clothing, and home decor. I enjoy hiking and biking with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a little girl, I had an experience where a prayer was dramatically answered when I felt my life was in danger. My teenage years were spent in an are where Mormons were a very small minority. where I learned to treasure associations with church members. I felt strengthened as I attended early morning religious classes every day before school. As I reached young adulthood, I desired to know for myself that the Church was true, so I decided to study the scriptures and pray fervently every night. The answer came after three months of study. I felt such a peace, clarity of view, and light in my entire being. I knew for myself. I have had many other moments of great clarity. One was when I was teaching the children in our congregation a hymn about the First Vision of the Prophet Joseph Smith. I recall the clarity of purpose, the intense warmth that filled my soul and my entire being as I taught the children of the Father and the Son appearing to the 14-year old Joseph.

How I live my faith

I have found great sweetness and peace as I have served for more than four years as the leader of the adult women in our congregation. I feel the love that our Father in Heaven has for each of these wonderful women. I visit homes where there are needs or emergencies, and help coordinate efforts to give service at times of illness, death, or other challenges. I have two assistants and a secretary who help with the many responsibilities. In our organization, each woman is watched over and strengthened by a team of two other women, and the assignments are prayerfully made as we review the needs of each woman. We oversee weekly Sunday women's meetings and lessons. where we learn more of the Savior Jesus Christ and his Restored Gospel. I help oversee meaningful events for the women in our congregation, such as classes or workshops. I make many visits to women in their homes, and am constantly impressed by their faith, resiliency, resourcefulness, and love. I see and feel the strength that they receive by living the teachings of the gospel.
