Hi I'm Ammon

I've lived around the world, but I feel most at home in the library, temple, and serenity of nature. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived in England, Germany, Korea, Virginia, and Nebraska. I have a twin sister. I hate hats and shoes. I enjoy entomology, botany, deer hunting, singing, playing tuba, reading, classical and 70's music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. When I was young I was like a sapling on the forest floor. I lived under the shadow of my parents' testimonies. I was not decaying or dying. I was simply not growing. I didn't know and didn't care about the world or what a blessing the gospel could bring to my life. I was home schooled from 2nd grade to 7th. It was after when my testimony was tested and tried. I was uprooted and thrown into the world, into 8th grade and public school. The best likening to that is of being asleep then thrown into cold water. My life and notion of what life was had been turned upside down, shaken, and cast about the floor. All the years of looking up to my parents and seeing their steadfast examples was being put to the test. I was not and am not perfect. I made mistakes and plenty of them, but my parents were still always there to, at first, tell me of their disappointment, then, of how much they loved me and how they knew I could do better. The church has been an unwavering beacon in my life as I've been cast about in the never ending storm we call the world. I hope and pray that, as I strive to follow it and obey its teachings, I can make it home with my family and loved ones to that heavenly home of our Father and Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I always remind myself to be a good example. I listen to my parents because I know they love me and want what is best for me. I study the scriptures and listen to those who know better than I. I work almost daily with the missionaries to spread the gospel and help the families in the church.
