Hi I'm Kari Lynn Spencer

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am 22 years old. I am from Cedar City,UT. I love to read and play volleyball and softball. I also love camping, fishing, and boating. I enjoy hanging out with my family and playing cards and board games. I love working with children and have been going to Southern Utah University to get a Bachelors Degree in Special Education. I have three semesters left but have decided to wait to finish school and serve a LDS mission. I am serving in the South Dakota Rapid City Mission and will be until October of 2014.

Why I am a Mormon

My Testimony... I know that I am a daughter of our Heavenly Father. I know that He knows me personally and that He loves me and everyone else here on earth. I know that He knows our pains and the desires of our hearts. I know He has sent us here to earth to be tried and tempted and that He will never give us a trial or challenge that we cannot handle. I have a testimony that Jesus Christ lives. I know that he was sent here to earth to be the great example for all. I know that he suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane and atoned for my sins which provided a way where I can repent and be forgiven so I can return to live with not only my Heavenly Father but also my family for time and all eternity. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the one and only true church on this earth today. I have a testimony that Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ, spoke to Joseph Smith, a confused 14 year old boy who wanted to know which of the churches he should join, and that in the sacred grove God told Joseph that none of the churches on the earth had the fullness of the truth. I know that through the sacrifice and hard work of Joseph Smith, not only was the church restored to this earth but also the power of the priesthood. I also know that The Book of Mormon is true and is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that it was translated by Joseph Smith and is sacred scripture that goes hand in hand with the Bible. When I look back on my life, the times when I have been reading/studying The Book of Mormon daily, are times when I have had true happiness and peace of mind. I know that we have a true prophet, seer, and revelator on the earth today, President Thomas Spencer Monson. I know that he speaks with God and gives us the advice and wisdom we need to help us stay happy, strong, and worthy through these difficult and troubling times. I know these things to be true with all my heart and I say them in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I have served in multiple Young Womens presidencies and I have also been a Young Women's Youth Camp Leader and been able to help organize and plan multiple girls camps. I have also been a Primary Teacher which I absolutely love because I love working with children. Also most recently and up to this point the most rewarding is that I am serving an 18 month mission in the South Dakota Rapid City Mission. I am enjoying sharing my beliefs with everyone in each area I serve in and helping them grow closer to our Savior.
