Hi I'm Isa Curran

I work as an Electrician. Im from Yorkshire, England. I love the Queen, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the north of England in a town called Huddersfield, so that makes me a "northerner" as the English say. I come from a mixed race family. My mother is English and my father’s family are of Pakistani origin. When I left school at the age of 16, I entered an apprenticeship so that I could become an Electrician. It was a 4 year course, and I completed it in the summer of 2011. I then left home and work to serve a two year mission for the Church with the aim of bringing many people to the knowledge of Jesus Christ and His restored gospel. I now work as an Electrician with the company I did my apprenticeship with. For fun I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, walking and reading and just normal stuff really.

Why I am a Mormon

My faith is a product of my experiences, I know that I’m doing the right thing in being a Mormon because God has confirmed this to me through the experiences that I've had. I joined the Church and became a Mormon, but more importantly became a follower of Jesus Christ, in November 2009 and it’s the best decision that I've ever made!! Being a Mormon for me has brought me so much happiness. Through reading the Book of Mormon and coming to Church my relationship with Heavenly Father had grown a considerable amount. The Book of Mormon has played a key role in my conversion and has really helped me know and understand what our Saviour did for us over two thousand years ago and what He can do for us now if we choose to follow Him. But what my faith has done for me the most is that it’s brought me peace, happiness, and made me into such a better person, and that's why I continue to live it and that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I seek to live my faith by always doing my up most to follow the Saviour of the world Jesus Christ. As latter-day saints He is the centre of our faith, religion and our life. Often times I fall short of this goal but Im grateful that my Saviour is patient with me.
