Hi I'm Cheryl

I'm a mother of four amazing children, I work for the local authority in children's services and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married, a mother of four and work for the Local Authority in Children's Services. My husband and I enjoy travelling, cycling and time with our children. My son is serving a mission for the Church in Switzerland, two of my daughters are engaged and our youngest is starting A-Levels very soon. I have a large extended family who often get together. Over the years I have worked in child protection and managed a children's centre. I get a lot of satisfaction working with children who live in vulnerable families. My greatest joy is my family. And I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was two years old. Growing up in the church I loved the youth program and the friendships I formed with people who felt the same way as I did about my Saviour Jesus Christ. As a mother of four I now see my children enjoying the same things I did, and I enjoy watching their faith in Jesus Christ grow. The Church teaches about the eternal nature of families and family means everything to me. I believe that the Church and it's truths can help anyone find peace and happiness in challenging times.

How I live my faith

I currently look after the nursery age children at my local church and as part of a committee I plan and run activities for larger groups of church members, these are often fun activities. Previously I have worked with the youth of the church arranging camps etc. Monday evening are set aside as Family Home Evenings, whatever is going on is put on hold and we get together as a family and just spend time together, sometimes discussing the scriptures or a church related topic or going out somewhere together. I read the scriptures and enjoy developing my understanding of the Saviour and His teachings.
