Hi I'm Kristen Jones

I grew up in Rhode Island. I love the ocean, cooking, and jasmine rice. I am a college student. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student and a food science major, and I am loving it! I am the oldest of 4 kids. I have two sisters and a brother. My parents are divorced so I enjoy spending my time between two great families. My siblings are some of my best friends and I have so much fun spending time with my family. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hanging out with friends, cooking, baking, and spending time outdoors. I am so blessed and happy with my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I had the blessing of joining the Church at age 14. I was taught by two wonderful missionaries and was baptized a few months later along with one of my sisters and my mother. Since then, I have gained an even greater witness of the truthfulness of the Gospel and this Church. It has blessed my life in more ways than I can even count. It has brought me true happiness. It is truly God's church restored on the Earth today. The Scriptures, and especially the Book of Mormon are the word of God. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is truly led by a Prophet of God, Thomas S. Monson. I am so blessed to live in a day and age when the truth has been restored on the Earth and more importantly, that I was given the opportunity to learn the truth of it through the Holy Ghost. I love this Gospel. I know that I am a daughter of God and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church.

How I live my faith

Currently, I live my faith by attending and participating in my church meetings. I also have a calling in which I am responsible for teaching a class to women of all ages. I also live my faith by trying to consistently read the scriptures, pray, and look for opportunities to help the people around me. I will soon be leaving on a mission to the beautiful country of Brazil. I can not wait for this opportunity, in which I will be able to share the Gospel and the happiness that comes from it for a year and a half. I am so excited to spend this time in Brazil and helping the people there to feel the happiness that I feel in their lives.
