Hi I'm Kelsey Rae

I like stripes. I draw pictures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kelsey and I am a Mormon. I enjoy reading, drawing and spending time with those I love. I grew up between 3 states: Upstate New York, Southern California, and Northern Utah where I now live. I love all the many places I have had the opportunity of living in and feel blessed to be able to make home wherever I am. I am the third of four children and love my family. I LOVE to travel and since I have graduated high school, I have been blessed with many opportunities to see the world. My longest trip was spending a semester living in Susono-shi, Japan teaching English. I loved the experience and learned so much about myself and about the beauty of other cultures. The world has so much to offer! Since living in Japan, I have completed 3 semesters in college as an Art Education major. I LOVE doing anything creative and I also love teaching. I hope to always be able to incorporate creativity into my life, no matter where I am or what I am experiencing. I now have chosen to temporarily set aside my education and am serving as a full time missionionary in Daejeon, South Korea. I love being a missionary and feel so blessed to be able to participate in such an incredible experience.

Why I am a Mormon

The church is true! I know that by following the teachings of the gospel I can lead a happy and fulfilling life no matter who I am with or where I am. I have a testimony that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and restored the gospel as we know it today. I also know that President Thomas S. Monson is a true modern day prophet and speaks words that are inspired of God. I know that if we heed his counsel we can experience true and everlasting joy in this life and in the life to come. I am so grateful for the fullness of the gospel that is here upon the earth and hope to share this message with all of God's children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing many things. I love to serve in my ward and to make friends with all those I meet- regardless of race, age, or religious affiliation. There are friends to be made everywhere! I also live my faith on my mission, by inviting others to hear of the message of this gospel. Missions are hard work but knowing that I could change even ONE person's life makes all the difference. I also live my faith by reading the Book of Mormon and praying everyday. This helps me to grow closer to my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. Reading the scriptures and praying also helps me to receive personal revelation pertaining to particular decisions in my life. I always feel at peace when I do these things.
