Hi I'm Sister Aleah Leonard

I grew up in Texas.I am a college student who loves sports. I am a mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am going to Natal Brazil for the next 18 months. I love sports. I was a pole-vaulter, diver, and wake boarder. I enjoy the out doors. One of my favorite things to do is service, We've all seen hard times in our lives, big or small, and nothing helps me cope with my trails more than helping others, forgetting myself and making their lives a little easier, like Jesus did. I also enjoy trying new recipes to find new food I like. I am always up for an adventure

Why I am a Mormon

I have never had a pivotal moment in my life where the light turned on and I knew the gospel was true, but rather over small seemingly insignificant events throughout my life my testimony has grown. I had the privilege of growing up in the church. I knew I wouldn't be able to base my faith on my parents testimonies. Sometime in my teens I took the challenge to find out for myself. I simply asked God if the things I had been taught were true, I was not visited by a heavenly messenger, I did not even receive a direct answer right then, but slowly as I listened to lessons in church I would feel the Holy Ghost testify of what ever principle was being taught. Any time I have a question about a principle or doctrine I just ask for understanding, everything just makes sense with the gospel in my life, because it gives me hope when I go through trials. The gospel of Jesus Christ that has been restored to its fullness provides perspective and the big picture is given so my priorities are aligned with God's and things that would make this life hard become small and insignificant. My heart is so full of love and happiness I want to share it with everyone.

How I live my faith

I am litterally devoting 100% of my time and efforts into the building up of the Kingdom of God. I am a full time missionary. From 6:30am-10:30pm everyday I am in the scriptures learning about what I can do to better improve myself and better serve those around me. During hard times and trials I turn to my Savior and Redeemer and He eases my burden. Through Him all things are possible, including learning Portuguese in six weeks!
