Hi I'm Taylor Bybee

I was born and raised in Ogden, Utah, and yes, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of fie children. Born and raised in Ogden, I have never lived outside of Utah. I am currently in the Biological Engineering program at Utah State University. I have been called to serve in the Spain, Madrid mission and I report July 24th, 2013.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the LDS faith. I was always taught the core values and morals to which the church holds tightly. As I grew up I knew I could no longer rely on my family for my religious beliefs, the time came where I had to make my own choice. I knelt in prayer and studied the scriptures. As I read, I had a deep desire to know for myself that what I had been taught since I was just a kid was true. I continued to read the Book of Mormon when, twenty chapters in, I was overcome with such an assurance, such a profound feeling, that I knew this church, the LDS church, was the restored gospel and that Joseph Smith was a prophet who received revelation to translate the Book of Mormon which is another testament of Jesus Christ. This profound assurance is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through being an example. One of my favorite phrases that guides my life is "Actions speak louder than words." I try to follow this saying and make it my daily goal that my actions reflect well upon who I am and what I represent. I currently serve in my Young Single Adult ward as a Family Home Evening Group leader. Each Monday night I plan an activity for a group of college students to come participate and get to know each other a little bit better.
