Hi I'm Linda

I was born and still live in beautiful North Wales. I am a mother and a grandmother. I am blessed to be a Mormon.

About Me

I love watching and following sports especially football, rugby, tennis and F1 motor racing. I enjoy reading and my tastes vary from crime thrillers to biographies and of course the scriptures. I enjoy meeting new people and socialising when time and distance allows. I live in a beautiful part of the world and have opportunities to enjoy the varied countryside around me from mountains to beaches and beautiful valleys and lakes.

Why I am a Mormon

I could not begin to think what my life would be like if i didn't have the gospel in my life. I was first introduced to the church in 1975 when I was 23. Having attended a Methodist Chapel from when I was a little girl I already believed in God and Jesus but when I attended my first Sunday meeting in an old hall without the surroundings of a nice chapel, I felt as if the pieces of a jigsaw had fallen into place. The Spirit touched me and I knew that I had to go again. I am blessed to have the company of the holy Ghost with me to help, guide and comfort me in my daily life and its challenges. I know that my Saviour lives and that He has atoned for my sins if I just do my part. I feel honoured to have a living prophet that receives revelation and shares with the world the things that our Father in Heaven wants us to know. I know that I am a daughter of God and that He knows me personally and loves me unconditionally and that I can talk to Him whenever I want and that he will answer me. I have made so many friends within the church and they have enriched my life beyond understanding. They are my family and I know that they will always be there to help me and be there for me. I continue to be a member of this church because I love my Saviour Jesus Christ and am indebted to Him for his sacrifice. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and was brought forth in our time for our benefit. I know this because of the feelings within me when I read from it and I can never deny its truths. This knowledge is available to everyone who accepts the invitation to read and then pray about this book. I testify that the words I have written have come from the heart and that I pray that should anyone read theses words that they will be touched by the spirit and receive an understanding of the depth and truthfulness of my beliefs.

How I live my faith

My membership in the church is a great blessing in my life. I have had to rely on the strength that I receive from my Father in heaven through answers to prayers, searching the scriptures, listening to my leaders and receiving blessings on many occasions but none more so when I was diagnosed with cancer in 2010. I knew within minutes that everything would be fine because I felt the peace of the Holy Ghost within me. I enjoy attending church meetings and at the moment I work with the youth, always a challenge but very rewarding.
