Hi I'm K. Michael Briggs

I was a Theatre Major. I am a Pursuing Musician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always been into theater since my mother introduced me to it at the age of 4. I have been performing on the stage ever since. Theater is my passion, as well as music. I have grown up in a full member family of one older sister and two younger brothers. I have grown up my whole life in Utah, and I have loved it. I graduated high school and started one semester of college. I am always doing things to the MAX, whether it be a fully uncovered suicide run in a paintball game, watching a movie or TV series from 6 AM to 2 AM the next day, or going to see the Hobbit in Utah snow dressed like a barefoot Baggins, I'm in!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were in the Church since I was born, but when I turned 8, I was given the choice to be baptized. I made the decision to be baptized and I have not regretted it since. I believe that the Lifestyle as well has helped me learn who I really am, and what I need to do with my life. I have read the Book of Mormon cover to cover many times, and each time I have prayed to know the truth, and I have received an answer. I now share this message with everyone on the streets with someone just as dedicated (if not, more) by my side!

How I live my faith

I am currently a Full-Time Missionary for the Church. It is an experience that I will never forget. The spirit you feel everyday, from reading the Book of Mormon for an hour, to learning how to cook properly, and putting on the name tag is a mind opening experience. I am serving in the California San Diego mission, speaking Spanish. Although I have had no formal training before, I am learning quickly! I still have a long way to go, but I don't mind at all! The spanish culture is amazing and I am so glad I get to serve them. I do not regret this choice to dedicate my life to the Savior, and given a chance I would do it again! Look at what we do as Missionaries! #RealBookofMormon, #RBOM

How can I know Mormonism is true?

K. Michael Briggs
Pray, that is how I have come to know the truth. If you have a question about a religion, then why not go to the direct head of that religion and ask? Prayer is communication to our Heavenly Father, and when you ask him a question, He will then find a way to answer it. Study the Book of Mormon, it is the words of Heavenly Father in the past and he revealed them to us today to find the answers to our questions. The last thing I will say is try to live it! Attend a LDS Church near you, follow things that we believe. If you prove to him that you really want a answer, then He will give it. Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

K. Michael Briggs
I do not know about the outside culture of the church, but I am pretty sure we do not proclaim or are not referred to as Josephites, or Smithians. We do not worship Joseph Smith, but he was a Prophet of God. Through him, God was able to restore the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world again. He was the head of the Church, as was Peter of old, and governed the Church as he lived. He wrote and said many great things which are recorded and is fundamental to our faith, but it was through the power of God that he was able to do these marvelous works. The way that you can know if he was a prophet, is talk to the Missionaries, and they can help you receive an answer from God. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

K. Michael Briggs
What we do as missionaries is to help those we see. We serve in the communities we are assigned to serve in, help families build stronger relationships, and most importantly to help them come to know Heavenly Father personally. I knew God existed and that he cared for all his children, but it wasn't until I started helping others gain their own experiences that it really rang true to me. We talk about Heavenly Father's plan for us, how he hasn't just put us here to live, then after 60 or so years die. He has a plan that if we do what he asks us to do here, and be Faithful to his commandments to repent & make commitments or covenants with him, and do it continuosly throughout our lives, Christ's Sacrific will pay for our sin's and we can live with Him in the life to come. As well as this we will be able to be with our Families forever, what a blessing! Show more Show less
