Hi I'm Colleen Speer

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 2 beautiful daughters. I am expecting a son this summer! I work a few days a week as a dental hygientist. My husband works hard and supports our family financially and brings great joy to us as he has a huge sense of humor. We are enjoying our young family and learning a lot of lessons as we go along:)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a family who attended the Mormon church weekly and I have loved going. I left home to attend college and found a ward to attend there and continued to weekly attend and stregthen my faith. I went on a mission and taught others about the church and then come home and continued going to church and socializing with other mormons and eventually met my future husband through those associations. We both wanted a family and to continue following the mormon faith and have enjoyed our lives together with God as a big part in our daily lives. The choices I make daily are based on the things I have been taught and the things that I believe will bring me the most happiness.

How I live my faith

I help out with the primary part of our ward and enjoy the faith of the children. It is my favorite part of the week because we sing and share with the children ages 3 to 11 our faith in Christ and hope to give them a love of God and a sense of love from God to each of them. The theme each year is different and this year it is "I am a Child of God", letting each child know who they are and where they came is rewarding because I am reminded who I am and where I came from. It brings me strength and happiness. I know these programs and lessons for the children are important to teach them love and faith and a strong belief in God and His love for them so as they grow and face trials in this life they have to tools to overcome the negative and be amazing people and adults.
