Hi I'm Braxton Bennett

I grew up in Idaho. I love to learn. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I am Braxton, and I have been called to serve a mission in the Chile Santiago North Mission. I report to the Chilean MTC on June 20th. I am beyond excited to serve because I want to touch people's lives by bringing the Spirit to them. I love to learn! I recently completed my first year of college. I took general education classes this year because I am not sure what I want a career in yet and most majors require the general education classes to be complete before starting on the upper-division classes. When I return from Chile, I plan to continue to go to school. Hopefully, with the aquirement of the Spanish language, I will be able to minor in Spanish. In high school, I played basketball and I ran cross-country. I enjoy sports because of their health benefits and also the competition. I love to watch NBA basketball in my freetime because their athleticism and skill is so awe-inspiring.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have had the Holy Spirit testify to me that what this church teaches is true. Being a member of this church has blessed my life greatly. The peace of mind I get when I know that things in this earth do not matter as long as I live the right way. It gives me peace to know that I can live with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again in Heaven some day. I am grateful for this church because it has a living prophet at its head who leads by imspiration from our Heavenly Father. The counsel I get strengthens my resolve to live better. It gives me strength to continue on when I am burdened down with things I have to deal with. It gives me direction in life.

How I live my faith

I practice my religion by attending weekly church meetings. I enjoy going to church to learn more about the Savior, Jesus Christ. As I learn more about Him and his teachings, I gain a greater appreciation for his love that he shows to everyone including me. During church, I teach 13 year olds about our Savior. Teaching them helps me learn more about principles of our church. I always come away from a lesson learning something, and I am grateful to have been called to teach these children. Outside of church, I try my hardest to live like the Savior lived. He loved all, and he forgave all. He was the perfect example. I try to be perfect like He is, but I fail. It is okay to fail, as long as I know I can repent and be better the next time. I strive to be the example that Jesus Christ is for me.
