Hi I'm Lisa

Hello, I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I am a Mormon! I wouldn't have it any other way!

About Me

Hi, I'm Lisa. I have a wonderful family that I was adopted into. They have had me since I was 9 months, and adopted me when I was 6 years old. They also adopted my younger and older brother. We were sealed in that very same week in the Seattle Temple. We are very blessed. I am attending Latter-Day Saint Business College in Salt Lake City Utah this summer. I am studying to be an Executive Medical Assistant. Then after graduating, I will strive to earn my Registered Nurse License. I love to learn, read and expand my knowledge. I love outdoor activities: camping, hiking, exploring. Volleyball is my sport! One of my greatest passions is to sing. I sing wherever I am, in my room, the car, at work, anywhere and everywhere. I even dance a little. I love to expand my hobbies. I can play piano, I want to learn how to play the acoustic guitar. I know how to crochet, knitting is a working progress. I have taken an interest in Calligraphy. I am very outgoing and sociable. I do not hesitate on introducing myself and making a new friend. I am a very happy person. That is my goal each and every day. Be happy now and enjoy life. I have my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ to thank for that and the wonderful gospel, which I know to be true. I am a Mormon, I know it, I live it, I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have the truth and the light in my life. I know why I am here, and where I am going. What a comfort that is. I have a Heavenly Father that loves me. An older brother, our Savior Jesus Christ that died for me, and for you, so that I can live with our Father in Heaven once again. I Am a Child of God. I have felt my Heavenly Fathers love. Through the Holy Ghost, I have had the confirmation that this is the one and only true church here on the earth. I know this by the joy and happiness that it brings to my life. I know that the Bible is true, along with the Book of Mormon, which is a companion to the Bible. Another Testament of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I know each and every time I read it, that the words on the pages are true. I have a purpose, I am here for a reason. We all do. We are all loved by our Heavenly Father and Savior. We are never alone! I know this to be true.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday. To be reminded each week of why I am here on earth--to follow my Savior Jesus Christ. To follow his perfect example that I may return to live with my Heavenly Father once more. I strive to read my scriptures and every day. Not just to read, but to study. I strive to pray morning and night, that I may come closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. To feel their love and close companionship. I pray for strength to be an example unto others. I am not a perfect person but I am so grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. What a wonderful gift that is. Our Heavenly Father and older brother Jesus Christ love us so much. I know it, I have felt it. I strive to live my faith everyday. For everyday is a good day.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Lisa
"Faith is like a little seed: If planted, it will grow. Faith is the swelling within my heart. When I do right, I know." When we read and study the scriptures diligently, we can come closer to our Savior. Praying will build our relationship with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Doing what he has asks of us, will bring happiness and joy into our lives. We must nourish our seed of faith everyday, resulting in our faith growing continually. Show more Show less
