Hi I'm Margaret Wilkinson

I live in England. I enjoy learning about new and interesting things. I love being a grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother and grandmother and I work as an Occupational Health Nurse Specialist. I love walking with friends and going to the theatre. I am learning to paint and enjoy learning about new and interesting things. My family is very important to me and I love to spend time with them. They bring me a lot of happiness. I have a wonderful husband who is a great source of strength to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church since 1973 and being baptised was the best decision of my life. I have come to know that life will always have its ups and downs , but one thing is constant and that is the knowledge that I am a daughter of God and that He loves me and has my best interest at heart. The Church contains the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and I have had a witness through the power of the Holy Ghost that this is true. It is wonderful for me to know that families can be together forever and as a daughter, wife, mother and grandmother this knowledge has brought me great comfort. I have always loved the scriptures and when I read the Book of Mormon I followed the prophet Moroni's admonition to ask God with a sincere heart if it was true and He would reveal that truth to me. I received an overwhelming testimony that what I had read was the word of God and it now joins my bible as essential reading and study. I love the gospel and I know that Jesus is the Christ. I testify also that the Church of Jesus Christ was restored back to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith and that our Heavenly Father continues to guide and direct us today through living prophets. It is a comfort to me that Heavenly Father is the same yesterday, today and forever. He doesn't change His precepts, principles or ordinances to fit in with the current precepts and thoughts of men.

How I live my faith

I have served in many areas of church life and I currently teach the young single adults my area about marriage and family in relation to the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Being a member of the Church has opened up my world. I enjoy the feeling of 'family' within the Church, not just in my home chapel but wherever I have attended in whatever country I am always made welcome.
