Hi I'm Courtney Lamborn

I'm from Laketown Utah, I enjoy playing sports, I am a country girl at heart, I love to laugh, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of four girls, which means there was always plenty of princesses, pink, giggles, hair spray, and shopping to go around at my house. I have a wonderful family. My sisters are truly my best friends, and I couldn't ask for better parents! One of my favorite things to do is hang out with my family, because there are always plenty of laughs and memories made. My family means the world to me. Although my family is full of girls I absolutely love sports and being outdoors. My two favorite sports are basketball and volleyball, but I also enjoy running, racquetball, wake surfing and snowboarding. Pretty much I like any sport, and am always up for learning something new. Being outdoors is something I also enjoy. Growing up in Bear Lake summers were always a blast. They consisted of eating Raspberry shakes, boating, sun burns, 4 wheeling and just enjoying every second of the three short months of sun. In the future I hope to be a nurse. The medical field is something I have always found fascinating. I think having a job serving people all the time will be terrific.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it helps me in every aspect of my life! When living the gospel the Holy Ghost is my constant companion. By having the Holy Ghost, I can be prompted and receive help when making big decisions. I also love the restored gospel because of The Plan of Salvation. This plan answers the questions, where did I come from, why am I here, and where am I going. Through this plan I learn what God wants me to do in order to be happy and fulfill my purpose here on earth. I know because of Christ I can be forgiven of my sins and live again. The thing I love the most about the gospel is developing a close, personal relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. As I come closer to them I experience more joy and happiness than I ever could on my own.

How I live my faith

I am living my faith right now by being a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Serving a mission has made me take a step back and think about the whys of what I believe. I have come to find the greatest way to strengthen my faith and live it is by sharing my testimony with others. I love the opportunity I have to meet new people and share with them the good news of the gospel. What a blessing it is to invite people to come closer to Christ each day.
