Hi I'm Steven Beardsmore

I'm a Mormon :D I believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost :D

About Me

Hi, I'm Steven Beardsmore and I'm happily married and have been sealed at the Preston Temple for all-time and Eternity to my wife Marie. We have three great kids, a girl and two boys, who we love to bits. I’m currently in my third year of a Social Work degree course at the University of Nottingham. I love playing football and going Pike fishing in my spare time but my greatest passion is spending time with my family as this makes me happy; and knowing that through our Heavenly Father’s Plan we can and will be together for eternity as we live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that my Saviour and Redeemer, Jesus Christ lives, that he is the son of our Heavenly Father; I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that through God's divine power, Joseph Smith being a loving example, devoted his life in the restoration of the Gospel in these latter-days. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, and that Thomas S. Monson is our Prophet, Seer and Revelator, who holds all the keys of the Priesthood. I bare my testimony that he lives….and loves each and every one of us; that, as we focus our lives single to his glory, and as we perfect our countenance to shine with the pure love of Christ in our hearts, we may live with him once again. I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints – I’m a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have grown to understand the blessings that can and do come from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. By living the standards of our Heavenly Father and applying the principles taught in our Scriptures, by our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and from our latter-day Apostles and Prophets we will be lead to eternal happiness. By living the standards of the Gospel can help teach you the characteristics needed to facilitate you living a happier life and not succumb to the selfish ways of the ‘natural man’. I am a Mormon because the Holy Ghost has testified it to me and continue to as I live righteously to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel. I am a Mormon because the teachings bring me happiness and give my family and I, perspective on life and our eternal progression. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that through God's divine power, Joseph Smith being a loving example, devoted his life in the restoration of the Gospel in these latter-days. I am a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, and that Thomas S. Monson is our Prophet, Seer and Revelator, who holds all the keys of the Priesthood.

How I live my faith

I have grown to understanding as I have studied and tried to apply the principles of the Gospel in my life how the Saviour's atoning sacrifice and Plan can and does enrich your life. I have an unwavering testimony that as you love one another and serve each other selflessly the Lord blesses you unconditionally. Life at times can be difficult and challenging as we face our trials but I know that if you seek our Heavenly Father’s help through prayer and ‘act in faith’ he will help you overcome all that is require. I know that as you strive to live the commandments of God and have righteous intent in all that you do the Lord will bless you and guide you in your life. I know as you study the Book of Mormon, say your prayers, and apply the principles you learn from this, daily…the knowledge you will receive can and does give you clearer clarity on who you are, where you are going, how you should live your life, and your eternal purpose. As I seek the Lord’s help in all that I do I am receptive to having the Holy Ghost as a constant companion which helps to guide and protect me against the adversary. As I’ve strived to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ I can testify that God can and does ‘speak to man’ through revelation...and I know that he lives!
