Hi I'm Esther

Born and raised in Texas, and loving life! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Well I am currently not in school but hope to return someday, I love Soccer and I love hanging with my friends and love music! If I could, I would have a song for every moment of my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I became a mormon because I knew in my heart that the church was true and that the book of mormon was true and that Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet today. I grew up a southern baptist my whole life. My family was very active in the church, My mother being a treasurer, And my dad being a bishop and uncle being my preacher! So you get the point. I loved hearing the sermons and loved reading The Bible and I never doubted the words I read, But deep inside I knew that there had to be more. And even though I was a youth minister for a short period of time, there were things that the Baptist church taught that I didnt agree with because I knew that it wasn't right. One day a friend who was apart of the LDS church invited me to church. I didnt know much about The Church so I figured, what the heck, why not? Then I had a chance to meet with 2 sister missionaries. From that first visit my life begin to change. I had pre-paired a whole page of questions, which were questions that contradicted what I grew up to believed and wanted to know what they believed in and where in the scriptures it was found. Every question was answered and explained and pointed out to my amazement. Finally I was given a book of Mormon. Everything I read, I felt was as true as the bible itself. But I didnt want to join. I kept praying to God asking Him if the church was true... But all I would get in reply was silence. Finally one day the answer came, it said, you already know the truth. So in my head, I said, it is not the true church. Over dinner with my mom that night I explained to her my investigation of the church and she begin to slander the church over and over and I became so outraged and yelled "They are not false teaching people, The Church is true! The book of Mormon is True and I plan on joining!". Wow. That came out of no where. There is MUCH more to my story and my hard trials from this point till my baptism but it is a long story and I am out of space. But I am happy to share it!

How I live my faith

I am currently called to be the leader of the food (break the fast) committee and I love spending time with the Young Single Adults of the church! We are a small group at my church so we tend to be well acquainted and get along!
