Hi I'm Brooke Johnson

I was born in California, raised in Utah. I'm obsessed with the mountains and love peanut butter sandwiches. I am a Mormon.

About Me

"I am determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself. For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our circumstance, but by our disposition." -Martha Washington- I am a student studying Communication Disorders in hopes of one day becoming a speech pathologist. I have visited more countries outside of the United States than states themselves. I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I have an amazing family with three siblings, who, when we are all together, could be a comedy show. There are few things I love more than photography and trying new foods. I have been a nanny for 5 years and cannot wait for the day to raise a family of my own!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this is the truth and fullness of the Gospel on the earth today. I have received a personal witness that it is the truth and I could never deny it. When we do what is right, keep the commandments our Father in Heaven has provided, and strive to serve those around us, we are blessed beyond anything you could achieve on your own. More than anything, the Gospel of Jesus Christ provides hope for the future. With the knowledge of where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going, I never have to feel alone or lost. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me. I know that when I make a mistake He will forgive me. I know that no matter what happens to us, opposition, adversity, tragedy, and sorrow, in the end, everything will be alright and we are promised to live in the Kingdom of Heaven with our Loving Heavenly Father. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides a community of people that will always be there to comfort and help you. We have a prophet that leads us to know God's will which truly brings happiness. I am a Mormon because through living the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I am given opportunities to learn of my divine heritage and what I can become if I work hard during this life. I honestly believe that because I live the Gospel I know what true happiness is.

How I live my faith

Everyday I try to live my faith by sharing the gospel and being a strong example to those around me. Ever since I was a little kid, I have always wanted to be a missionary, walking the streets with a badge and a skirt. And now, I have been called to serve a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Chicago, Illinois. I am so excited to have the opportunity to share the truth and blessings of the Gospel with people searching for it. Every week I try to attend the LDS temple in order to show my Heavenly Father that I am thankful for the abundance of blessings He has given me. There there are unique and inexplicable feelings that I have when I take the time to serve my Father in Heaven and I wish everyone could have the opportunity to converse with the Lord as we can in the Temple.
