Hi I'm Kelsie Bratt

I'm a Texan. I'm a Missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kelsie. I am a student in my 4th semester of college. I enjoy reading; boating: tubing, wake boarding, wake surfing, and knee boarding; watching movies and TV shows; and hanging out with my family. I love to play with my little cousins, nieces, and nephews. I can't wait to have children of my own one day. I have worked at a preschool and really enjoyed it though the kids could be a handful sometimes.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church all my life. At first I just followed in my parent's example, and went to church because they did. Then when I was 8 I was able to decide for myself if I wanted to be baptized and become an official member of the church. Though I was still young, I knew even then that this church felt right. Since that day I have remained strong in my faith and have continued to grow in my understanding of the gospel that I am a part of. I know that this is Christ's church restored to the earth. I know that I am a child of God and that I was created in his image. This life is part of a much bigger plan, and if we remain faithful through this life, we can achieve salvation in the life to come. I know that Christ is my Savior; he came to earth to live and die for me that I may live again. He was resurrected that all mankind may be resurrected, and through his sacrifice we can repent and be forgiven of all of our sins. I know that there are living prophets on the earth today and that there have been since the Lord and Heavenly Father revealed themselves unto the boy Joseph Smith and told him to restore Christ's church for the final time upon the earth. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet called of God, and that he receives revelation from the Lord on our behalf. I believe in this gospel with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to "practice what I preach." I attend church each Sunday, dress modestly, and try to serve those around me, just to name a few. I was recently able to work with and teach the 3-4 year old Sunday School class at church. Though I don't know how much I was able to teach them, they sure taught me a lot. Right now I am preparing to serve a mission. I hope to be able to share my beliefs with others and invite them to discover for themselves if what I believe is true, but I also hope to simply be able to serve people and show them that I love them.
