Hi I'm Alex

I'm from South Florida. I am addicted to running and making people laugh is my job in life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in South Florida my whole life aside from being born in California. I love playing guitar and listening to music. I have attained the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. I was able to take part in a wonderful program called School for Advanced Studies which allowed me to graduate with an Associates degree when i graduated from high school. I worked as a carpenters assistant before my mission. I am in San Diego currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church and have learned to love and cherish the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been blessed to be born to parents that have also been raised in the church. Being the middle child, I was rarely disobedient and I can proudly say that I have never partaken of any substance or activity that could have harmed my body. It is through my parents patience and guidance that I was able to see the importance in keeping the commandments. Having the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the center of my home has really blessed my family to love and be closer to one another. Even though I was raised in the Mormon faith, constantly being taught at home and at church on Sundays, as I got into my teenage years I began to really question if I really believed what I was taught. I knew that the only way to get an answer was to exercise my faith and pray. When I finally did pray to know for myself I cannot deny the power of the feelings that I had. I can only express that it was extremely peaceful and powerful and that it is undeniable. Having the confirmation that this is the restored church of Jesus Christ has really helped me to see the importance of keeping the commandments so I may one day live with my family in our Heavenly Fathers presence once again for all eternity. Knowing that this church is true has inspired me to go on a mission.

How I live my faith

Before my mission I faithfully attended church and helped the missionaries of my ward whenever they asked for it. I took turns with the rest of my class teaching Sunday school in the 16-17 year old class. I strive to be the example in my ward because I am the oldest of the youth. I am example to them as I faithfully serve the Lord in San Diego.
