Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up on a farm in Arkansas. I have 7 siblings. I am working towards my bachelors in Elementary Ed. And Im a Mormon!

About Me

I love anything outdoors! I grew up stick fighting, tree climbing, camping, kayaking, biking, and farming. I love animals, and especially have a soft spot for the sick. It was always my job growing up to mother the sick, underfed, or runts on the farm, and I did my job well! I am so grateful for the example my father has been to me for my entire life! I can't wait to have a family of my own and be the kind of leader to my children that he was to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I was given the wonderful oppurtunity of being raised in the gospel, and having parents who were strong disciples of Christ. My family would read the scriptures and have family prayer everyday, and we just spent a lot of time together as our religion encourages! I love the values that it encourages as well. In high school a lot of my friends made wrong choices and then were miserable and had to deal with the consequences. They always made fun of me and said I didn't have freedom and couldnt have fun because of my religion. In reality though, I was the happiest of them all! The commandments are set in place by our heavenly father because he loves us and wants to protect us! If we follow them, we are actually more free to be successful in life! I know I have a Heavenly Father that I can rely on at all times, being in college has taught me that me that I cant always rely on my dad her on Earth and I have been relying more on my God. I know he loves me and I am a precious Daughter of his. I know that Christ loves me and has sacrificed his life for me. I am a Mormon because I am a follower of Christ. I love him and I love his gospel.

How I live my faith

I grew up in the bible belt and had tons of wonderful Christian friends! It was an amazing place to have a childhood, but something that was hard for me was that many of my friends didn't understand my faith, or even that I was also a Christian. I am a Christian, I love my Savior. I am so grateful for the sacrifices that he has made for me so that I can retur and live with him and my Heavenly Father and eternal family someday! I try to live my life by being the best example I can be, showing love, and by living my high moral values.
