Hi I'm Elijah

I grew up mostly on Kangaroo Island, I have finished year 12 and am now putting my whole heart into serving a mission :)

About Me

I love the beach, playing basketball and singing. I have the aspiration to become a doctor later on in life which hopefully leads on to becoming a surgeon.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason that I am a member of this church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is because I know more than anything that it is the true church. I was born into this amazing life and at times took it for granted. I seriously used the repentance process, I sinned against my better knowledge, but, that is where my saviour came in. He raised me up from beneath the dirt, dusted me off and gave me the responsibilities and powers in this church that I did not see myself being worthy to receive. I received many strong witnesses on my way back onto the track back to the iron rod. I will share my witness of the Book of Mormon. My brother had given me a challenge to read the book of Mormon in a month. He had always challenged me, but this time I felt as though I should take up this challenge. When I was reaching Moroni's promise in Moroni 10:3-5, i had already had the spirit tell me that it was true, from the burning in my heart. I decided to pray anyways. I went outside and prayed. Feeling no different I assumed that I had not received my witness (already having a burning feeling in my heart). So disappointed I went to have a shower, in the shower I decided to pray again. Once again I didnt receive the answer that I was expecting. I decided to pray once more because I knew that the Lord would bless me for my persistence. As I prayed I felt the strongest feeling that I had ever felt, it curled me over onto my hands and knees and I was sobbing, i felt as though i was in the presence of the Lord. At that time I felt the need to repent of everything I had ever done, but this time it was more sincere. This is why I am a Mormon, I love my god, i know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of god and that he translated our Book of Mormon. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, my saviour Amen.

How I live my faith

At the current time I am serving as a ward missionary, helping to gather the lost sheep and perfect the saints. I serve on my home teaching assignments with my brother; we have three families that we teach.
