Hi I'm Howard Kissner

I was born and raised in South Western Kentucky. I've been a member of the Church since 1980.

About Me

I was born in the Christian Church [Protestant] in Hopkinsville,Kentucky. Moved to Cincinnati in 1966. Became interested in the LDS Church when I went on a business trip to Salt Lake City in 1980. Went through the visitors center, and it answered questions I had about religion. Two weeks after I returned the missionary's came to see me and about 9 mos. later I joined the Church. I married Teri in 1988 and she joined the Church in 1990. I am not sure where I would be today if it wasn't for the Church and my Wife. She is a sweet spirit and I know God sent her to me to keep me on the straight and narrow, and she has. Thank you Lord, I love her very much!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been in a lot of Churches in my life and none have the beliefs, the morals, the love of Christ that the Mormon Church does. It's hard for me to understand why non members can't do a little research on the Church from Mormon.org and they will better understand who we are and what the Church is all about. I don't know how I lived all those years without the Church. I've been a member of the Church since 1980, was exposed to the Church when I went to Salt Lake City on business for two weeks. I went to the visitors center and all my religious questions were answered, the other Churches I'd attended couldn't do that. I love the Mormon Church, please search Mormon.org and find out for yourself.

How I live my faith

I've enjoyed many callings in the Church, presently I am a Ward Missionary and I enjoy it very much. Before that my Wife and I were in the Scouting program, and that was really great being a big influence on these young men's lives and molding them for their future. Too many callings to go through them all [33 yrs. worth]. I think you get the idea, my Wife and I LOVE the Church. We have also been very fortunate to have great home teaching and visit teaching families, we've learned more from them and we have ever taught.
