Hi I'm Andy

I'm a computer geek, family man and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm your regular IT geek that everyone turns to when they have computer issues. I was self employed for 4 years repairing computers locally. I chose this over Uni as I struggle with studying but excel in hands on work. Now I am lucky enough to work for a large corporation supporting some of their offices in parts of the UK. I'm a father and a husband, an uncle to 13 nieces and nephews. I love playing football, ice skating and joking about with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to the church. My parents and 5 older brothers and sisters grew up going out to church every week. I followed suit but during my teenage years i began to question what it was all about instead of just accepting what I as taught was true. When I was 17 I started going out teaching and finding people with the missionaries. At one appointment we knelt with the lady and said a prayer to ask God if Joseph Smith was a true Prophet. An overwhelming feeling came over me as we said that prayer that he was a Prophet of God. The feeling brought tears to my eyes. This then made me realize that there is a God and he did call a Prophet called Joseph Smith. I then went up into the hills where I lived and prayed and asked God if the Book of Mormon is true. Again I got an overwhelming warm feeling that it is. Since that moment I have never looked back. At the moments in my life where I have begun to doubt I remembered those experiences to reaffirm to myself that God lives. I challenge you to do the same so you can know for yourself that God lives, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that Joseph Smith is a true Prophet. Don't take the missionaries or your friends word for it. Find out for yourself.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a better person, husband, father and friend week on week. I try and visit people in my local area with the Missionaries as often as possible. I am responsible for 18+ males in my area and so I pray for them and try to find ways to be a better friend. Every Monday evening as a family we spend time together to learn a little from the Bible or from the Book of Mormon, we play games and sing with the children and have treats. I try and make sure that nothing gets in the way of that time.
