Hi I'm Grey Zimmerman

I love making music. I love my family. I love my faith. I`m a missionary serving in Japan.

About Me

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to wonderful, loving and caring parents. I grew up in a large, boisterous, artsy family with aunts joking around, grandpa belting opera, and of course, lots of get-together`s. I was raised in the church by faithful parents, but the choice of whether or not to follow the teachings of my Savior was always mine. I can never thank God enough for the wonderful gift of guidance through friends, family, scriptures, and his Holy Spirit. When the time came, I made the choice to leave behind friends, a job, school and English to serve a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Japan. Its hard, its fun and out here God really shows his hand in all things. I`ve learned when you give yourself to the service of others, and more especially, our Father in Heaven, you feel the peace, the love and the guidance that can only be granted through the Holy Ghost. I thank my Father that he has given me infinite chances to follow the example of His Only Begotten Son. I thank Him that I am able to grow and learn the truths of the gospel for myself. I am thankful that I can show that love through obedience to the principles and ordinances of His` gospel and through my service as a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

When we are at the lowest of lows, the hardest points of our lives, our Gethsemane`s, we have the opportunity to humble ourselves before God and ask for his help and guidance. For many of us this happens. If we ask, our Father in Heaven will make the truth known unto us by the power of the Holy Ghost. I was at a low. I felt the pains that this world brings, and I prayed. And yes. God did answer. `And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.` -Moroni 10: 5

How I live my faith

Jesus Christ said, `Ye shall know them by their fruits.` He also stated that, `By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.` What I love about being a member of this church is that it isn`t just a `Sunday-only` organization. As a youth I was always out doing service projects with other youth. My Dad and I would often go visit others in our neighborhood who were having a hard time and give our assistance. We`ve packaged food items, and first aid kits for those suffering from natural disasters or lack of food. I now give two years of service as a missionary. As we humble ourselves, have faith and give freely of our substance (whether that be physical or emotional) to those who stand in need of it, we follow the example of our Savior. He paved the way through his actions, and we strive to do the same. Through our charity, our selfless help and love for others, we can mend broken hearts, give hope to the hopeless, and show a light to others who have none.
