Hi I'm Colin

I'm a happily married, father of two and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am an avid runner with challenges from Parkrun to Marathons. I am an outgoing person. I have an active role in my running club as a leader and happy to share my faith with anyone who asks. My employment is in the line of emergency service to save lives. I DJ and enjoy playing computer games.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I asked God to change my life and he has done that. My life wasn't bad, I wasn't a bad person, but now I am less selfish and I am more willing to help others. I continue to follow instructions from church leaders, because they have never given me instruction which resulted in me doing bad to others or feeling bad. I read the scriptures and pray every day. I have had prayers answered. I continue to have spiritually uplifting experiences in my life. Our church encourages members to spend Monday evenings together, with the busy lifestyle of two working parents in our home we strive to do this and this is rewarding as we spend time as a family without the distractions of TV and outside interference. I believe this has made us a stronger family.

How I live my faith

I am involved in the youth program in the church. This gives me the opportunity to attend regional days where we do service projects in the local communities. Also at regional days we have dances and here get to have lots of fun. I also serve as a home teacher with a companion and its this calling where we look after our members at home and ensure any worries or concerns can be looked after and if any help is required it enable the church to be everywhere and look after those who need help.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Colin
We believe we have come to earth from Heaven, where we were in the presence of our heavenly father. We have come to earth to get a physical body. Here on Earth we die and our body and our spirit will separate, but at the resurrection our body and spirits will once more be joined and we will once again be in the presence of our heavenly father.
