Hi I'm Marianne Olson Nay

I am a new wife, returned missionary, hunter, farmer, and musician. And I love to be a Mormon.

About Me

I am a farmer's daughter. I have always enjoyed working with my dad on the farm. I love being in the quiet, beautiful mountains of Utah. I have had a passion for the piano since I was little and took lessons for 12 years. I have gone to Snow College and Utah State University. I paused my college study to serve a mission in the Uruguay Montevideo West mission. And married my sweetheart, Kyle, in the Manti Utah Temple on January sixteenth, two-thousand sixteen. We met in Ephraim and lived there for a year after our marriage then we moved to Utah county for better work. I currently work for the State of Utah based out of Provo. I enjoy long car rides with my husband and snap-chatting with my siblings in Ephraim.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a long line of Mormons. I have ancestors that traveled across the Western United States with the early pioneers and settled in Utah. Even though their trials were different than mine, I have come to have the same knowledge they did. I have had experiences through my lifetime that has helped me understand why my ancestors sacrificed so much to be a part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I often have moments that I can feel my testimony of the church grow. I strive to remember and keep my covenants that I have made with my Father in Heaven. I know our Heavenly Father and Christ live and they know each of us personally. I know they love us with a powerful love. I know Christ atoned for our sins which gave us the ability to progress and repent. I know Joseph Smith was called of God to restore His church and that he translated the Book of Mormon. I know the Book of Mormon was translated by the power of God known as the priesthood, and that power is still on the earth today. I know that the prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, is called of God to lead the church through the trials we have in our day. I know families can be sealed together forever, and we will see those that have passed on again. I know without a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only church on earth that has the fullness of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I often find myself as being the leader. I have been in and out leadership positions since I was thirteen. I also helped with the music in Sacrament meetings when I was young. I was called to serve as a full time missionary in Uruguay and fulfilled my purpose there. I continue to serve faithfully in the assignments I am given. I strive to know my Savior better as I pray and read my scriptures daily and attend my church meetings weekly. As I do so, I can feel the love Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ, have for me.
